Smartfiber

Smartfiber company began in 2005 creating lyocell fibers with an assortment of functionalities. Relying on innovation and patented technology the brand has developed a way to incorporate long-lasting natural additives into cellulosic fibers. This includes additives such as zinc or seaweed which are naturally beneficial for the skin and body. These high-tech fibers are internationally patented trademarks, SeaCell™ LT, SeaCell™ MT and smartcel™ sensitive.

As part of the main core of the company, Smartfiber puts sustainability efforts at the top of the priority list, thus enhancing the focus of sustainable economic activity and environmental standards throughout the supply chain process of all fibers. The lyocell process is more environmentally friendly compared to Viscose or the cotton process and is a purely physical development. The cellulose is solubilized in a nitrogenous solvent and developed into a fiber form. The benefit of this production process is due to the closed circuit, which means no chemicals are disposed of as waste.

These leading sustainable fibers are produced through a partnership with Lenzing AG, a well-established company of innovative fibers. This allows for the production of SeaCell™ and smartcel™ to be supervised by a special team of scientists and engineers, including lab testing that guarantees high quality textiles. The Lenzing AG company sets the standards of industrial production from “man-made” cellulose fibers for innovative strength and quality. Smartfiber has developed into a strong textile supplier that is used across different brands for t-shirts, sweaters, trousers, sports/yoga clothing, intimates clothing, bed linen, pillows and blankets.
